the news for today is that Nintendo is apparently finally figuring out that friend codes are full of %^%$*^&$ AND &(*%&%(& so they released the following statements: nintendos CEO iwata said: "Nintendo's online functionality is behind the others or is lacking in some ways"
"We are not currently satisfied with the online efforts that we have made so far, and we are working at ways to improve those,"
sounds good right? after some mumbo-jumbo he went on to say: ""I do not think that online functionality is something that we should be devoting resources to for every single product. Instead, I think that Nintendo's ability to create an offline experience that feels incredibly unique and compelling is a particular strength that we have."
Going forward, what we will continue to do is to evaluate the individual products and experience that we're creating on a product-by-product basis, and make a decision as to whether or not it's more important to devote resources to making that offline experience more fun and compelling for products where that is going to be the most important element of the game play; and then for products where it is going to be more important, to add online functionality and make that online functionality robust and compelling. We will continue to focus our efforts there when it's appropriate, but it's going to be a product-by-product decision.
so is nintendos online platform still going to suck mushroom? only time will tell

PSN PLUS LAUNCHING THIS MONTH
in a move similar to Microsoft's xbox live, PlayStation is launching "psn plus" a pay service that entitles it's users to free games, early demos, beta's stuff for home(it's gay, sorry) and themes for your ps3/psp. it will cost $50 a year, and if you cancel your subscription YOU LOSE ALL YOUR DLC. that is just stupid.
i can hear the ps fan boys saying "yeah that's a great idea!" dude, xbox has been doing this shit for years, and if you cancel your service YOU KEEP YOUR STUFF. anyway, i might try it out for a month or two sometime down the road.

PREPARE FOR: FEMA THE GAME!
NOT A JOKE. FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) apparently is working on a game o be released next year Called "Disaster Hero" (very original) will feature mini-games that educate players about common natural disasters based on geographical location, help them identify potentially dangerous situations in the aftermath of said disasters,(like the super-dome) and relay helpful tips about the items they should have on hand to help them survive(a butt plug). Covered subjects will include preparing a survival kit(which includes said butt plug), finding escape routes(while forcibly hunched over), and applying pressure to staunch bleeding (rectal) wounds. Because if a hurricane rips through Louisiana, FEMA will only make matters worse, so you should know what to do.

and last but not least, yesterday i reported that a doctor strange film is in the works, now word has it that Patrick Dempsey (greys anatomy, enchanted) wants to play the title character.
What do YOU think about this stuff? is the fema game a waste of taxpayer money? will Nintendo ever get it right? could Patrick Dempsey not be a total fag? comment below
